CANAAN MIDDLE SCHOOL SPRING BAND CONCERT
Next Thursday, May 8th at 7pm is our Canaan Middle School Spring Band Concert! This is an exciting time for our students as they get to show off all the hard work and dedication they have put into learning their instruments! This is also a large part of the students’ grade for Band as it serves as our summative assessment for class.
On Thursday, the front doors will be open at 6pm. All band members will meet in the Auditeria. Students are asked to be there no later than 6:30 pm. Concert starts at 7 pm.
This is a dress up occasion. Much like how sports teams wear a required uniform to look and perform as a group, we as a band want to put our best foot forward. The dress code is as follows:
Guys: Nice Shirt (preferably collared), Nice Pants and Nice Shoes. Girls: Nice Shirt, Nice Skirt/Dress of modest length or Pants, and Nice Shoes. **No Flip-flops, Shorts, or T-shirts***
At the conclusion of the concert, in order to maintain a steady flow of traffic and to make sure students are united with their respective families, 5th graders will return to the Auditeria, pack up their instruments and return to the Main Gym to Meet their Parents. 6th graders will meet their parents within the Auditeria.
Students are responsible for bring their own instruments, music, and book! We as directors do not have access to the building once we leave for the day and will not be able to retrieve anything if it is left behind. As always if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact Mr. Hennig at email@example.com or Ms. Lewis at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to an enjoyable concert experience with you!
