Report time to the field for Friday will be moved to 3:00pm.
Due to the fact that our first game is in far off Philo with many road construction obstacles in our path, we have found it necessary to move up our departure time. Students will report with instrument to the field at 3:00pm after school. The Music Boosters will be providing a meal at 3:30pm before we dress and load the buses for an estimated 4:30pm departure. We will be encountering Columbus rush hour, additionally, and will need every second to get to the game on time.

This Friday August 30, 2019 the band will be traveling to Philo High School in Duncan Falls, Ohio!
Students will be asked to stay after school on Friday to get ready as we will be departing around 4:30pm. The Music Boosters have graciously put together a meal prior to leaving so students will be fed before leaving school. They will have an opportunity to purchase concessions in the 3rd quarter with their own funds as we no longer provide away game food.
Kickoff is at 7:30pm and the game should conclude around 10:00pm. Students will be arriving back at Alder around Midnight.

Due to this being our first game and the fact our NEW trailer is projected to be finished in time, I had a few parents reach out and suggest we need more time for our first game to account for any potential issues. I do not change the calendar frequently but as I previously mentioned, report times are subject to the most change to account for unforeseen events.
Also all Band students need to bring clothes/athletic shoes to go outside to march tomorrow (Wednesday 8/22) during the school day. Part of the participation grade (60% overall) is coming prepared to march each day during class.
Our first after school rehearsal is Thursday, 2:45-4:00pm.
It is going to be an amazing year and looking forward to Friday and our first game of the season!

This Saturday September 9th, is the Wayne HS Band Show! This Band show provides the opportunity for JA to see other show bands similar to themselves!
Students will report to the High School at 4pm and will be returning around 11:00 pm. Students are encouraged to bring money for concessions and a band show t-shirt ($10). The show starts at 7:00 pm with Alder preforming third to last.
Admission is $7 for all adults and $5 for kids. Children under 4 are free!
We look forward to cheering on our kids as they take the field and show off what they can do!
